To Build the Center for Healing and Justice

We’re writing a new story. Join Us.

For 45 years, AdHoc has been on the front lines of violence and homicide in Kansas City.  We’ve held the hand of those stricken with grief, and we’ve seen hope and resilience in those who have turned away from violence and retaliation.

2023 is on pace to be the deadliest year in Kansas City history, with new violence and homicide being reported every day.  Ad Hoc is positioned to expand our services, to bring stakeholders together, and to bring healing and justice to Kansas City neighborhoods that have been neglected and traumatized for too long.

In 45 years, AdHoc has never had a permanent home.

In 2022, The Hope Center donated three parcels of undeveloped land at 31st and Benton.  In January, 2023, we began soliciting seed support.  We have raised more than $2M, a resounding expression of Kansas City’s hunger for this kind of development.

But we still have a long way to go, and we need your help.

Give today to build Ad Hoc’s Center for Healing and Justice.

AdHoc’s new home will be a 12,000 square-foot, 2-story building that will include administrative offices, counseling offices, and classrooms.

This building will be a beacon of hope for a divested and traumatized community.  As we continue and expand our current victims services, we also will build and implement upstream interventions in our “Innovation Space,” a flexible conference space with capacity for 160 people.  In this room we will bring together community leaders, families from around the community, and those working at the cutting edge of community-based violence prevention from around the country.ommunity.

We need you to join us in this effort.   Will you take a journey with us to save lives and strengthen families?
